NEW Collawood Necklace
Collawood is a rare mineralization in wood that only happens in the country of Turkey. Over time, the ancient wood has been replaced with copper minerals including the stunning blues and striking greens of malachite, azurite, and chrysocolla and the earthy reddish-brown cuprite. It is so much more stunning than photos can convey! Slightly translucent in parts of the stone.
The Collawood cabochon has been set in fine and sterling silver that has been oxidized* to enhance textures. The oval that the cabochon sits on is made from fine silver that has been hand carved, stamped and soldered. This is an absolutely unique piece. The pendant has been attached to a think link, rolo chain. The chain is 18" in length and has been finished with a sterling silver lobster clasp at the backside. The pendant hangs 2" from the chain.
One-of-a-kind.

*Please note that oxidized sterling silver is still sterling silver. It just has a darkening patina that gives the jewelry a vintage look. Wear can happen over time but can be protected with proper care.
