A beautiful Sterling Opal* Specimen that sparkles blues and oranges and golds. The base of the opal is a milky white and there are black striations throughout. The teardrop Opal has a smooth, domed face. It has been set in oxidized** sterling silver on a silver dusted ring band.

*Sterling Opal is one of the only man-made gemstones that we use, but it is because they are quality made with the components found in nature & they are more durable than real opals. This seems to be important when making rings, because we are all a little tough on our hands. 

**Please note that oxidized sterling silver is still sterling silver. It just has a darkening patina that gives the jewelry a vintage look. Wear can happen over time but can be protected with proper care.
