NEW Deep Freeze Necklace

I feel like I must have been a bird in a past life, because more often than not, I see my gemstones and or jewelry design from a birds eye view. For example, this high quality Australian Opal makes me think of what a crow would see as they fly above a frozen river. Milky-hued ice, laden with crystals that reflect a rainbow of light and flanked by a carpet of grey, leafless trees. 

The Opal has been set on a thick piece of reticulated sterling silver. A few nuggets have been added to create even more dimension and patterning. The pendant has been lightly oxidized to enhance the details. 

The pendant is 1 3/4" in length and is strung on an 18" link chain that has been finished with a lobster clasp at the backside.
