NEW Curio Ring
Ever gone into a funky shop with lots of glass cabinets, chock full of treasures? Or, if you are like me, you have one of those in your studio (and home! ha!). This necklace is my version of a collection of treasures in its own little shadowbox.
The largest gemstone, the teardrop shaped one, is a Tanzanite, in a beautiful shade of purple. The freeform shaped gemstone is an Australian Opal, a dusty purple with flashes of pink, indigo, green and gold. The smallest round stone is a Sterling Opal. It is a little bit of purple and a little bit of mint green. Sterling Opals are opals created in a stable environment, utilizing the same minerals found in the natural world. They all compliment each other in some way, feeling like a sweet little gemstone collection.
The ring setting and band is sterling silver that has been oxidized to enhance the textures. The face is about 1" inch in diameter.
One of a kind.
Size 6.5.

*Please note that oxidized sterling silver is still sterling silver. The only difference is that an oxidizing solution has been added to the surface of the sterling silver to give it a vintage appearance. If cared for properly, the oxidization will last a long time, giving your jewelry lots of lovely depth.
