NEW Fiery Welo Opal Necklace

I brought this Welo Opal out to photograph this morning and it was the perfect moment to do so. The blue sky mimicked the hue of the watery Opal, the fire within the opal flashes oranges and greens and golds - just like the fall foliage show. In synchronistic moments such as this, I realize my ’just creating’ is so much more than that. My art always seems to be a playbook of what I see and how I feel; the bright and clear sky, vibrant changing leaves, the endless patterns in flora and fauna, and how it all stirs my soul…

This necklace is made with a high grade Ethiopian Welo Opal from the Wollo Province. It is set in sterling silver and accented with a 14k gold nugget. The pendant is strung on 18" of sterling silver chain. At the back is a lobster clasp closure.
