Herkimer Quartz ‘Diamond’: It is associated with those born under the signs of Aries (March 20th - April 20th) and Taurus (April 21st - May 20th). Named for the location they have been found - Herkimer, NY - and their diamond-like appearance with their stunning clarity, 18 natural faces/facets and double termination. The black inclusions that are seen within is called Anthraxolite, which is ancient, fossilized organic matter that has been encapsulated in the crystal during its time of growth. These stunning specimens are 500 million years old - and only discovered in the late 18th century in and around The Mohawk River.
