Lichen Stacking Ring with Opal and Turquoise
Frosty Lichen on tree bark. That is the inspiration behind this stacking ring, from the color combo to the patterns, I tried to evoke the beauty of the Lichen.
The largest stone is a Sonoran Gold Turquoise in a shade of light, minty green. It is in a pear shape with a smooth face. The Turquoise is perched on our Plume Ring band that has been oxidized* to enhance the texture. The smaller stone is a Sterling Opal**, with a tan base that flashes gold and green. The Opal has been set on our Hammered Ring band that has also been oxidized.
One of a kind.

*Please note that oxidized sterling silver is still sterling silver. It just has a darkening patina that gives the jewelry a vintage look. Wear can happen over time but can be protected with proper care.
**Sterling Opal is one of the only man-made gemstones that we use, but it is because they are quality made with the components found in nature & they are more durable than real opals. This seems to be important when making rings, because we are all a little tough on our hands.
