Wishbone Earring

My Grandmother, Jennie, loved the concept of the wishbone. She kept some intact and some broken for the possibility to grant a wish. I even made her a gold wish bone necklace for her before she passed. The concept of these earrrings is the wonderful dreamy, wishy world that lives between the wishbone ends. The gemstone almost seems as though this space is ready to burst with ideas. I love the thought of a wish granted, but I almost like the thought of that world of hopes and dreams before the wish is made and the bone is cracked. 

Vintage Chinese Turquoise, from a collection of a family friend. The stones are set in all sterling silver, including the earwires. The Turquoise is a mix of robin's egg blue and deep brown black, in a very unique, four sided shape. All of the silver has been brushed to give it a matte texture. The earwires are made in our studio and crafted with sterling silver. 

The earrings are 2" in length, which includes the earwire.
